Rancho® RS5000™X Shock Series Now Available for Custom-Built Off-Road Vehicles
Cross-Tuned Technology Brings Advantages to Off-Road Vehicle Builders
Las Vegas, Nov. 3, 2015 – The Rancho® brand has released a new set of universal length RS5000™X series shocks – ideal for any custom vehicle builds – to bring a new level of precise control to any modified Jeep, off-road buggy, truck or sport utility vehicle. The new, larger RS5000X series shocks include unique Cross-Tuned Technology, an exclusive valve design that provides increased control and a more precise ride profile, tucked inside a larger shock body.
Available Jan. 1 at performance retailers across the U.S. and Canada, the new RS5000X series shocks for custom applications include the widely universal loop-to-loop configuration, ideal for off-road Jeeps, buggies and other custom-built applications.
“The Rancho RS5000X series shock was launched last year at SEMA, and was an immediate success,” said Chris Gauss, director, performance brands, Tenneco. “The addition of these widely used configurations for off-road performance vehicles was only natural. Off-road enthusiasts will see and feel a more versatile ride combined with even more capabilities than the standard RS5000 series in a variety of environments worldwide.”
The RS5000X shock and strut series can be found on display at the Rancho booth (Central Hall, No. 25133) during the 2015 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show, Las Vegas.
The Rancho RS5000X series shock has a large 2.25-inch* diameter reserve tube that delivers greater oil capacity and can enhance overall performance. The larger body diameter allows the RS5000X shock to run cooler and more consistent in more extreme conditions and varying vehicle speeds while extending shock durability.
Each new RS5000X shock also includes a solid 16mm rod to offer strength and durability during off-road driving. The RS5000X shock is gas pressurized to add a mild boost of spring rate to potentially minimize foaming and shock fade. The series also features a glass-filled fluon banded piston that provides smoother piston travel and greater responsiveness when road conditions vary.
Each RS5000X shock is finished in classic Rancho bright white paint with a full-color Rancho RS5000X decal and each shock includes a protective Rancho red boot.
The Rancho brand first launched the original RS5000™ shock series in 1985 and it has grown to be one of the best-selling, high-performance shock absorbers in the world. A leader in performance suspension systems and shock absorbers, Rancho performance suspension and shocks are manufactured and marketed by Tenneco.
Rancho RS5000X shocks and struts are covered by the Rancho “Ride Guarantee,” an exclusive offer that allows enthusiasts – who are using Rancho products on all four corners of the vehicle – to try the product for 90 days. If within the first 90 days of ownership the consumer is unhappy for any reason, the consumer can return the products for a full refund of the product’s purchase price. The series also is backed by the Rancho brand’s limited lifetime warranty. Please visit www.GoRancho.com for additional details and restrictions.
