2nd Annual UTV Rally Officially Launches Rancho’s Entry into UTV Products

UTVs
Last year at the 2007 SEMA Show, Rancho unveiled some pretty awesome products for the Rhino. In February, Rancho surprised the crowds at DealerExpo, the powersports trade show, with our completely overhauled Rhino and RZR duo.

So when the Rancho Team had the chance to get dirty out on the trails with some enthusiasts during the 2008 UTV Rally in Moab, Utah, they were all for it. Without question.

Rancho was a sponsor for the 2008 2nd Annual UTV Rally - and we even hosted a dinner for the participants on Friday - we sure had quite a loyal following! On the trails and in the Arena!

We sure tore up the fresh dirt out in Moab with our exciting new long-arm suspension systems for the Rhino and RZR. We led the charge up Hell’s Revenge, taught ‘em how it’s done on Fins & Things and tore up some sand dunes outside of town. We participated in several of the UTV Rally’s trail rides, and were very happy to see all of you out on the trails!

Make sure you check out all of the separate photo galleries - you might see you and your rig in there! You can check out all of the Rancho products you saw on the trails by clicking the links on the navigation bar at the top.

It was a great week with great weather and tons of great people! We hope to see you there in 2009!

Rancho Lifts a JK with Off-Road.com

Filed under: Fresh Dirt — Charlie @ 10:40 am

Are you getting ready to lift your Jeep Wrangler Rubicon?

If you’re interested in getting off-road with Rancho, be sure to check out this article from Jim Brightly of Off-Road.com.

We’ll publish his pictures here in a gallery and give you a summary of the work he did with our Rancho system.

If you’d like to read more, be sure to check out the Off-Road.com article.

Here are some article excerpts:

“Jacking up a JK with a Rancho lift kit and RS9000 shocks can give you a foot of clearance, more room for bigger tires, and an improved ride both on- and off-the-road…”

“According to Jeep information, 35-in. tires will fit under the JK’s fender flares and on its spare tire carrier, and will clear the rear bumper as well. This may be true, but I didn’t want to try larger tires without first raising the Jeep.

Since Jeep lists the ground clearance for a Rubicon as 8 inches, the Rancho 4-in. kit will give you a full foot of clearance…A 4-in. lift could be the difference between a holed and leaky gas tank - sometimes difficult to get home that way - or a few scratches in the tank’s paint…”

“It’s amazing that Rancho’s suspension engineers know to the fraction of an inch just what the springs’ tension, strength and bar diameter must be to produce exactly 4 inches of lift to a JK…”

“Air pressure and shock adjustment work together to produce exactly the type of ride you prefer. Off-road, lower the tires’ pressure and adjust the shocks to a lower number. I dial each shock as I lower each tire’s pressure; the pressure and dial number depend on the trail’s rating…”

“For those of you who don’t care to get dirty while off-roading, you should consider installing Rancho’s remote control kit for the RS9000 shocks. Then you wouldn’t have to leave the comfort of your driver’s seat to dial in the shock stiffness exactly…”

Rancho Takes Part in Popular Off-Road Series in Mexico

Filed under: Fresh Dirt — Charlie @ 11:16 am

Serie Caem Rancho Challenge 2008

In late February, Rancho participated in one of Mexico’s premier off-road series - the ‘Serie Caem Rancho Challenge 2008′- that took place in Jalapa City, Veracruz. The event was the first of four stages during 2008.

More than 20 teams participated in the track portion of the event and several more in the car show, Rancho reached out to more than 3,000 people during the event. Several local TV stations even covered the excitement!

Rancho ran a contingency program for those vehicles running Rancho stickers and products during the off-road portion of the competition. We even gave away 100 free embroidered shirts to lucky event participants and gave a free set of shocks to the winners!

Be sure to watch for more information about the rest of the series - and get out there and participate if you’re close to any of the events!
